The 2012 traveling convention exclusive comes in the form of Temple of Darkness Sorceress! Dressed in all white to recreate her look from a few of the vintage MOTU mini comics, TOD Sorceress is a repaint with a very col additional accessory!

Join me for an early look at this new figure from Mattel. Temple of Darkness Sorceress will first be available exclusively at Germany’s GrayskullCon and then at Power-Con in California!

    great review dan 🙂

pretty awesome repaint – obviously i like this one as it kind of echoes the sorceress' appearance in the movie, which is awesome to me …

i LOVE the orb-stand – it looks like the pillars we see in the castle greyskull throne-room in the '87 movie …

the translucent plastic on the wings is awesome; but again – not sure i will buy this one (or even get the chance too with it being a con-exclusive) …

Hey Dan! Great reveiw! I just had a look at my Sorceress and it seems that they used the older (Teela 1.0) hip joint on this figure. It will probably aid with poseability. Am I right?

Here's hoping I'll get a chance to grab this figure when it hits MattyCollector after the cons. Despite this version of the Sorceress being from some of the minicomics, a small part of me is always reminded of the 1987 movie Sorceress when I see this figure because of the all white color scheme.

nice review adn I really want that base. I will be getting a couple of these at powercon.

Also, I bought the same shirt you are wearing in the review PixelDan. I have already received a lot of comments on it.

I see Japanese Kanji in the top of the power base:

Hey Dan, I posed a question in the comments for the classic Turtles review, and I was hoping that you could answer, but it 's been a couple of days so I guess it's just so old that you haven't checked it in a while. Can you tell me the price of the TMNT classic figures, and where they can be purchased other than TRU and on the secondary market, if anywhere, are they at Wal-Mart, K-Mart orTarget? Thanks!!

    • Crespo says:

While, I'm obviously not Dan, I think they're in the range of $15. A more precise price would depend of the stores in your area. IIRC these would see a normal retail run (not TRU exclusives, hopefully)

Cool figure and I like the base accessory. Now to find one, I can't afford to go to Powercon.

Awesome review as always and thanks for doing SO many this week. Always cheers me up to watch a new one. Really cool repaint of a great figure. I really like the regalness it gives the Sorceress, like she could apear in nearly any fantasy movie, comic etc. Wish Mattel could make it to DragonCon with her, but something won't work out between Mattel & The Con (they tried last year with JLU 3-Packs but it fell thru). Hope she lasts long enough for me to pick up on Matty.com. Thanks again for the awesome reviews.

I’m regretting not getting the redeco Grayskull. I really like the orb and orb stand.

  • GLJossan says:

Dan, you forgot it'll also be available at NYCC! That is unless they changed that recently.
