Mutagen Man coming to Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

USA Today has a pretty good article up on the success of Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s filled with quite a few newsworthy items. While most folks seem to be most excited about the news that Season 2 will give us a 1-hour special reuniting the original voiceactors in the roles of the four Turtles (which, by the way, is really cool news!), I’m more excited about another announcement.

Mutagen Man, baby!
Mutagen Man was always my favorite action figure from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy line. He was just so different looking than any other figure in that line that I found him incredibly appealing…and this is from a toy line that was full of wacky character designs! He also made a few appearances in the original cartoon series.
Pure awesome.
The USA Today article dropped the news that not only will Mutagen Man be making an appearance in the Nick Turtles cartoon this season, but he’s also set to have a big role in Season 2! Mutagen Man is a bit of an obscure character in the TMNT world, so while I had always hoped there was a chance of getting a new figure at some point, I never expected to see him get a role like this in the new cartoon! Needless to say, I’m stoked!

So while everyone else is busy being excited about the reunion of the original TMNT voiceactors (which again, is awesome!), Mutagen Man is where it’s really at for me! Now, when does Playmates plan to release a new Mutagen Man action figure, becuase I need one, like, yesterday!
One of my favorites. This is great news. Even cooler, it sounds like Mutagen Man will be in a lot of episodes in season 2. I have really enjoyed this series and until reading this post, I didn't even know season 2 had the green light. I was wondering, as a fan of the new Tundercats toon, which was cancelled, that TNMT might share the same fate.
I too am loving this news. I am glad that there is going to be a season 2. I was scared when I started seeing that they (Nick) is now pushing Monsters Vs. Aliens ( Which is a very old movie for them to get behind.) Mutagen Man is going to be an great figure and I can't wait. Now here's hoping we can get some more updated figures.
