Power-Con 2012: Mattel Mattypalooza Panel

From Power-Con 2012, Mattel had some VERY exciting announcements at the Mattypalooza panel! Not only were three new Masters of the Universe Classics figures revealed, but ToyGuru drops a major bomb about the Castle Grayskull playset coming in 2014!

  • I don't have a lot of extra cash to put towards MOTUC, but I'm definitely pre-ordering Castle Grayskull. I never had one as a kid, and it would make an awesome centerpiece for my collection.

    I do have one question, though: Scott threw the idea out of paying $30-$35 per figure and getting free shipping in return, which got a lot of cheers. Why? I just ordered 2 DB Skelly's this month, and after shipping (the cheap one) it was about $44. Even taking into consideration the price increase in 2013, that would put it at about $55 (talking DOS here) which is still less than what two $30-$35 figures would cost.

    Why would this be a cheaper option? It makes no sense to me, unless it was like 2-day shipping or something. If I still had to wait 2 weeks to get a figure, I'd be really ticked.
