Star Wars The Clone Wars 2012 Anakin Skywalker Figure Review

Sponsored review: For a great selection of Star Wars action figures and more, be sure to visit Past Generation Toys !

From Hasbro’s Star Wars: The Clone Wars comes this action figure of Anakin Skywalker! I’ve really been enjoying the Clone Wars cartoon, but have never really bought any of the figures based on it. I’ve always been much more into the movie-styled Star Wars figures. So join me for a look at one of my first figures based on the animates series!

  • This figure looks great, but I was so disappointed in it due to the, I don't know, "rubbery" nature of the figure, that it immediately went into a drawer never to be seen again, lol. This was also my first purchase of a Clone Wars figure, but I just didn't like the super soft plastic that they used. I get that it makes it safer for kids, which is fine because it's a kids line, after all, but it made the figure seem fragile to me.

I don't think I'll be getting any more Clone Wars figures (at least when they are as thin as Anakin), but there is still plenty of other cool Star Wars stuff coming out this year 🙂

Yeah, I know what you mean about the softer plastic. Hasbro's plastic always seems to feel like that, especially on these skinnier figures. But the overall sculpt and paint on this figure is teriffic, I think! 🙂 I hate that I always get sucked back into Star wars figures…LOL!

      • Yeah, the sculpt and paint are great. I got sucked back in because of some of the vintage figures, namely Maul and Sidious (who has a cool new sculpt hidden under that robe, BTW). I love it when they get ball-jointed hips (well, Hasbro's style, anyway) like on Maul and some of the new Lukes (not Sidious, but that guy's old, so whatever :-p ). It may be kind of lame, but I really get a thrill about being able to have Maul actually, you know, KICK SOMEBODY. The guy's like a SW ninja. It should be a requirement, lol.
